Akka (Elder Sister) 2000.

A coming of age tale set in rural Andhra (South India) about a young girl going to work in the house of the local Landlord, but told through the eyes of her younger sibling.

The story later became a study for the Feature Film VANAJA. Although VANAJA started out being inspired by the film "Sophie's Choice," it eventually borrowed heavily from this early work - Akka.

Smriti (Recollection) 2008.

Smriti in Sanskrit (India's Ancient Language of the Classic Texts, and once the exclusive domain of the High Born) means "that which is remembered." It is also another name for Goddess Parvati (the mother of the Universe).
